The Bikali College Career Counselling and Guidance Cell has been actively working towards providing our students with insights and guidance on choosing suitable career paths since its very inception.
Activities:
- The cell conducts regular surveys among students to assess their aptitudes, scour hidden talents and interests.
- Based on inputs from the students and careful analysis of the job market, the cell designs and conducts counselling sessions, awareness programmes, lectures, workshops and short-term courses to aid the students in following their career pursuits of choice.
- The cell conducts interaction with successful candidates clearing civil service examinations, entrepreneurs, bankers, higher education.
- The cell holds coaching for NET/SLET examination in collaboration with Civil Services Achievers’ Point, Guwahati.
- Since 2022 the Bikali College Career Counselling and Guidance Cell in collaboration with Tata Consultancy Services’ Youth Employment Programme (TCS-YEP) has been conducting training and facilitating placement drives for its outgoing students.
- The cell coordinators also provide and facilitate individual counselling to students so that they can make informed decisions regarding their choice of careers and paths to take to fulfil their dreams.
- The cell also collaborates with the Goalpara District Employment Exchange to facilitate career guidance, coaching and placement drives.
