The history of sports is as old as human society itself. It refers to any physical activity or game which is competitive and requires skills. Sporting activities are organized for enjoyment, as well as physical and mental well-being. Sporting events have also been conducted as peace building measures to promote social tolerance. The Bikali College Sports Club wishes to achieve the same for the college students and fraternity- to hone physical and mental development, to build organizing skills among the students and ensure healthy engagement among the students.
Objectives:
- To build sportsmanship
- To improve organizational skills of the students
- To reduce stress and improve physical and mental well-being
- To enhance employability
- To develop overall personality of the students
Sports and Games Facility in the Institution:
- Martial Arts
- Gymnasium
- Cricket
- Football
- Volleyball
- Indoor Games (Chess, Carrom, Badminton, Table Tennis)
- Kabaddi
- Athletics (Shotput, Archery, Discus throw, Javelin, Running, Long jump, High jump)
Activities:
- To encourage and enable students to participate in state, national and university level sporting events, and competitions.
- Regular training of college teams and individual students for participation in different sports
- Conducting competitions on National Sports Day, 29th August
- Aiding Students’ Union to conduct annual sports during College Week
- Documentation of student’s participation certificates and awards in different competitions
- Prepare Inventory and monitoring Gymnasium’s activities and equipment use.
