Hostel

Hostels for Girls and Boys: The college has hostel accommodations for both girls and boys. Hostel seats for students are allotted on a need as well as merit basis. There are two spacious Girls’ Hostel having 120 intake capacity and a Boys’ Hostel with an intake capacity of 40 wards.

Rules and Regulations of the Hostel Boarders:

  • All hostel boarders are expected to show respect to senior hostel boarders and address them as ‘Baideu/Dada’. Boarders must maintain decency in their choice of clothing. Entry time to the hostel is 5:00 PM (FOR GIRLS) and 6:30 PM (FOR BOYS). Entry timing is to be strictly maintained.
  • Only authorized hostel residents are allowed within the hostel premises. Boarders wishing to visit home must submit an application to the warden and inform the Prefect at least one day in advance.
  • The date of return has to be clearly mentioned by the student in the application. Boarders are allowed to leave only once the application is granted by the Warden. The official timing to meet the Warden for signature is 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
  • Every boarder must record their exit and entry times, along with the date and destination, in the designated Records Register before leaving the premises and on return. Market visits are allowed for hostel boarders only on Mondays and Thursdays. Boarders are prohibited from wearing their college uniforms while going to the market. All boarders must ensure the hostel gate is closed upon exiting. Boarders are prohibited from leaving the hostel with strangers.
  • Posting inappropriate content on social media, especially unsolicited videos/photos, Reels, Tiktoks of the hostel premises is strictly prohibited. If students are found to share reels of hostel rooms .Any queries or problems faced by the boarders should be discussed collectively after the daily prayer. The Prefect can initiate the discussion and Wardens need to be present to moderate so that the group discussion is conducted in a civil and healthy manner. The proceedings of such discussions have to be documented by the Prefect(s). Lights and fans must be turned off before leaving the room, failing to do so the student(s) will have to incur a penalty.
  • Hostel residents are only allowed to use phones and laptops within the hostel premise; a fine of Rs.1000 will be levied if a student is found to be using any other electronic gadget(s).Cooking outside the campus or kitchen without permission is not allowed. Hostel boarders are responsible for cleaning the premises, including dustbins, every Sunday morning. Littering is strictly prohibited and all waste has to be disposed of in dustbins. Used pads must not be disposed of in bathrooms or toilets. An incinerator is provided which should be used by both Wardens and students.
  • Damaging, and defacing hostel property will result in fines. No guests are permitted to stay in hostel rooms. Visitors are allowed only in the visitors’ arena. Visiting time is restricted to twice a week on Saturday from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Boarders’ participation in the bi-monthly (two Sundays) library visit, cultural programmes, sports, games, competitions, gardening and other academic activities organized by the wardens is mandatory.
  • In case of any conflict, the decision of the Principal/Hostel Management Committee is final and binding. Ragging in any form is strictly PROHIBITED.
  • If found guilty strict action will be taken.

    Breakfast: 8:00 -10:00 AM
    Lunch: 2:00 – 04:00 PM
    Dinner: 9:00 -10:30 PM
