Jugal Kishore Talukdar, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology and Research Scholar, Department of Zoology, Bhattadev University on initiating the first bat museum in Northeast India by a university at Bhattadev University which was inaugurated on 29th January 2026. Shri Talukdar submitted a total of 32 bat specimen from his PhD research work. Till date, such bat repositories exist only in Zoological Survey of India at Kolkata and Shillong making this a unique academic milestone. 21/02/2026
